Joining Calyon in 2004, Daragh is working as a senior FX strategist. He belongs to the FX macro research team and has additional responsibility for crafting short-term interest rate forecasts in G7.

His responsibilities centred on developing FX strategy on developed markets, but increasingly on emerging markets also.

For six years from 1992, he was based in Asia with ING Barings, responsible for coverage of southeast Asian economies to feed strategy for equity, FX and fixed income strategy product lines. In 1998, Daragh relocated to London with ING where he became a senior strategist in the developed markets research team, predominantly servicing the fixed income and FX area.

He has over 16 years of experience in Foreign Exchange and interest rate forecasting.

Daragh graduated from University College Dublin in 1991 with a B. Comm (Economic honors).
