"Calyon develops a real group culture"
Diana Merlen joined Calyon in 2006. She is now working as a risk analyst at the Risk & Permanent Control division in Paris.
What attracted you to Calyon?
I joined Calyon on April 1st 2006 as a trainee in Calyon Financial’s Compliance Department. In my opinion, Calyon is a reference through the image it conveys in Universities. Expertise and opportunities to perform different functions and in terms of career path, good reception and a good working atmosphere are the main characteristics. I really feel the need to identify myself and to like the company I work for. In this respect, Calyon has met all my expectations.

What are the usual tasks in your job?
I am currently working in Activity Monitoring. I immediately liked my job enormously. It requires autonomy, rigour and resistance to pressure. All the ingredients are there for young recruits to become seniors with strong, recognised and sought for expertise. We are quickly responsible and work with people from many different nationalities which enriches our experience and enables us to adapt to every situation. The Activity Monitoring is a major strategic element within the Risk Division and Calyon. When you work there you feel that you have a real role to play.

Based on your professional experience what would you say is Calyon's most important feature?
Calyon develops a real group culture through its attachment to the Crédit Agricole S.A. Group. It offers real and motivating promotion prospects for a young graduate who can see there the possibility of a varied and interesting career. If a young graduate wants to have opportunities, he/she must without any doubt join Calyon.
