Calyon acted as joint bookrunner for the EUR 2 billion benchmark issuance of Veolia Environnement launched in April 2009. The transaction was split in two tranches:

• EUR 1.25 billion 5-year (gathering EUR 6.5 billion in orders from 320 investors),
• EUR 0.75 billion 10-year (gathering more than EUR 3 billion of orders from 180 investors).
