Calyon acted as joint bookrunner for Lottomatica
Calyon acted as joint bookrunner for a EUR 750 million 7-year bond issue with a 5.375% coupon. Calyon was mandated alongside UniCredit, Intesa Sanpaolo and RBS.
Lottomatica announced this transaction in a pan-European roadshow. Just after one hour of pre-marketing, on the back of the positive response received, the new issue was officially announced as a EUR 750 million.
This transaction is a success: the book was closed shortly and the final amount was around EUR 5 billion of total orders collected. The new bond issue was priced at the tight end of the initial guidance.
This success is partly due to the close collaboration between Calyon in Italy and Calyon in New York.
Lottomatica, a subsidiary of De Agostini, is a leader in the gaming and services market. The company is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
