The Global corporate finance business line is responsible for strategic consulting and execution activities in mergers and acquisitions. It offers its clients integrated solutions. It calls on the skills of its varied specialists to guide these complex deals to successful completion.

This business line assists its clients at all stages of their development:

  • advisory mandates for buying or selling, 
  • opening of capital and restructuring,
  • strategic financial consulting, 
  • privatisation advice.

In charge of managing deal execution, Global Corporate Finance cooperates with the Equity Capital Markets business line to steer dual-track deals and value privatisations.

Investment Banking Execution

In the French market, Crédit Agricole CIB closed 31 transactions for a total amount of €37.5 billion. Crédit Agricole CIB was especially active in public tender offers, taking part in 11 such offers on the Euronext Paris in 2007.

The volume of large-scale international transactions for which Crédit Agricole CIB acted as an advisor also increased significantly. For example, Crédit Agricole CIB was the advisor:
  • to Euronext in its €8 billion merger with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE),
  • to Allianz in its €9.8 billion buyout of minority shareholders in its subsidiary AGF,
  • to Lafarge in its €10.2 billion acquisition of Orascom Cement in Egypt,
  • and to KB Home (United States) in its €0.6 billion disposal of Kaufman & Broad.
