Crédit Agricole CIB named "Rail Finance House of the Year" by Jane's Transport Finance

In its Annual Gala Awards Dinner on 30 November 2011, Jane’s Transport Finance awarded Crédit Agricole CIB as “Rail Finance House of the Year”.

"In 2011 we have been particularly active in rail financing and advisory with major operations like Westbahn, Eurostar, AIG Rail/Flagship Rail Services, Porterbrook or Lorry Rail.
This award recognises the excellent collaboration between Structured Finance Aviation & Rail, Structured Finance Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Power, Debt Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions" commented José Abramovici, Global Head of the Aviation & Rail Finance Group. In the same ceremony, other deals in which Crédit Agricole CIB had a major role received awards:

  • “Aircraft Engine Finance Deal of the Year” for Rolls Royce
Crédit Agricole CIB acted in a USD 1.05 billion financing package through Rolls Royce & Partners Finance, a 50/50 joint venture between Rolls Royce and GATX. The deal represents the first time a facility has been structured so that it harmonises the collateral package for multiple classes of financing.

  • “Airport Finance Deal of the Year” for BAA
Crédit Agricole CIB was joint bookrunner in the airport operator BAA’s first foray into the US debt market with a USD 1 billion 10-year senior secured note.
